Laidley Community Centre Inc. operates a number of support services in the local area including our social enterprise café, ‘Community Grounds’.
We are looking for the right person to join our team as a shift supervisor on a permanent, part-time basis each Monday 6:30am – 2.30pm (with extra shifts offered for any leave cover). There will also be additional hours offered Wednesdays or Thursdays 1pm- 5pm while we trial a later closing time, however these extra hours are subject to the success of the trial.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the cafe with the support of a great team and under the direction of the organisation manager. You will be responsible for training and supervising school-based trainees and helping to drive positive community connections.
The right person for the role will be reliable, honest, driven, pay attention to detail and have good communication, leadership and people skills – and of course, make great coffee! Unfortunately we can’t consider applicants that don’t have enough of both barista and retail experience to support the development of our trainees. Hospitality award rates apply.
