Community Connect
Funded by the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services.
Operating Times: 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday
Community Connect is a Queensland Government initiative that places a dedicated Community Connect Worker in selected Neighbourhood Centres across the state. Their job is to help individuals and families who are going through a tough time, or juggling several problems at once, find the right support.
If you’re dealing with things like housing problems, money worries, your mental health, or domestic and family violence, our Community Connect Worker can sit down with you, listen, and help you work out what you need. They can give you information and advice, connect you with specialist and local community services (including making the call or booking the appointment with you), and check in afterwards to see how it went. You don’t need a referral and there are no eligibility criteria. Just drop in to the centre or give us a call. Your information is kept private and is never shared without your permission.
